About Toro Electric

Toro Electric was established by John J. Langdon in the spring of 1983, and was primarily involved in commercial and industrial projects. During the construction boom of the 1980's, Toro Electric grew to have many large clients such as, The Home Depot, Lane Bryant, Limited and Victoria's Secret. As well as public works projects like, government field offices, schools and hospitals.

John J. Langdon was born and raised in Ontario, Canada, and moved to Southern California in the 1960's. His wide spread knowledge and expertise in the electrical field proved to be essential during the building years of Toro Electric, allowing him the diversity to accept multiple types of projects. Throughout the years he trained his three step sons to become electricians, and they have proudly followed in his footsteps. John J. Langdon retired from the electrical contracting business in 1996, and laid to rest the legacy that Toro Electric had left behind.

In April of 2004, Richard P. Dorkin aquired his contractors license, and in honor of his step father, decided to carry on the Toro Electric name. He has 20 years of experience in the electrical field, spanning a wide variety of different electrical projects, including hospitals, office buildings, architectual lighting, residential panel upgrades, and industrial bottling plants, as well as being second to none in his troubleshooting skills. He has even designed and built low and high voltage, high power laser light show systems for the entertainment industry. Having been formally trained by John J. Langdon himself, he brings a confidence and expertise to the table, that is priceless for any customer.
